Advisory Group to Meet

WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service Commissioner's Advisory Group will meet at the National Office; 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC, on December 12, and 13. The meetings will be held on Room 3313 at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, and Thursday, December 13.

The agenda for the first day will include a discussion of proposed amendments to circular 230 and the IRS' ongoing ethics coordinated examination program and the statistics of income program. Other agenda items include development of forms and publications and an update on systems modernization including electronic filing of information documents.

On the second day discussion will focus on small businesses concerns and a report on an IRS Quality Improvement Team working on the power of attorney procedures.
