Important Changes
Increase in the section 179 deduction.
If you bought certain property to use in your business, you may be
able to elect to deduct (rather than depreciate) all or a part of its
cost as a section 179 deduction. For 2000, the total you can elect to
deduct is increased to $20,000. In 2001 the total will increase to
