WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr., will hold a press conference on Thursday, March 26, in room 215 Dirksen, beginning at 11:30 am.

At his press conference, Chairman Roth will release an outline of the Chairman's Mark of legislation to reform and restructure the IRS. The Finance Committee will hold a markup of the reform legislation on Tuesday, March 31.

Immediately following this press conference, there will be a pen-and-pad briefing for credentialed press only. At the background briefing, Finance Committee staff will walk through the bill using the outline of the mark.

The Chairman's Mark will be released after close of business on Thursday. It will also be posted on the Finance Committee website (www.senate.gov/~finance) at that time.
