SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Announcement 94-75
The public hearing scheduled to be held on June 13, 1994, on proposed regulations relating to the determination of combined taxable income under the profit split method, has been changed to July 11, 1994.


INCOME TAX

Rev. Rul. 94-36
Federal rates; adjusted federal rates; adjusted federal long-term rate, and the long-term exempt rate. For purposes of sections 1274, 1288, 382, and other sections of the Code, tables set forth the rates for June 1994.

Notice 94-59
The Service intends to issue guidance to clarify the federal income tax consequences of certain temporary lodging, dislocation, and moving-in allowances provided by the Department of Defense in connection with transfers of military personnel to a new permanent duty station.

Notice 94-60
Notice 89-1, 1989-1 C.B. 620, and Notice 89-6, 1989-1 C.B. 625, relating to low-income housing tax credit, are obsoleted.

INTL-6-90
Proposed regulations under section 904 of the Code relate to certain limitations on the amount of the foreign tax credit.

PS-27-94
Proposed regulations under section 701 of the Code providing an anti-abuse rule under subchapter K. A public hearing will be held on July 25, 1994.

A list is provided of organizations that no longer qualify as organizations to which contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code.


ADMINISTRATIVE

Rev. Proc. 94-39
General rules and specifications for private printing of Forms W-2 and W-3. Specifications are set forth for the private printing of paper substitutes for tax year 1994 Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, and Form W-3, Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements. Rev. Proc. 93-18 superseded.

Announcement 94-77
Form 8275, Disclosure Statement, and Form 8275-R, Regulation Disclosure Statement, have been revised.

Announcement 94-78
Supplemental tables reflect income tax rates and exempt personal service income under certain new income tax treaties.
