Statistics of Income Bulletin Available
WASHINGTON - In 1995, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
expects to process just over 207 million tax returns. This number is
expected to increase to nearly 224 million by the year 2001.
In 1991, 846,407 individual tax returns showed adjusted gross
incomes of $200,000 or more.
Also that year, private foundations received $24.9 billion, and
paid out $10.3 billion in contributions, gifts, and grants.
These figures and more are found in the IRS's Winter 1994-1995
edition of the quarterly Statistics of Income Bulletin, now
available for $14. An annual subscription for four issues of the
